5 day challenge to become successful in any area of your life! Day 2.

Hi all,

Dennis here from change it coaching, with day 2 of our 5 day challenge: how to become successful in any area of your life!


Yesterday we spoke about how clarity and a clear vision will hugely benefit your life, I also shared with you some of the most powerful questions you need to ask yourself every single day, in order to stay on track and become absolutely unstoppable!

Like many other things in life, be it positive or negative, if you keep doing them consistently for about 30 days, they turn into habits. With this knowledge, would you rather chose to instill positive or negative habits? And how difficult would it be to just focus for 30 days of your life and turn it around completely?


This links in with the 2nd topic of the 5 day challenge: Energy.





It is quite amazing to see that how little we know about how to channel energy into the right mindset, and even worse, how good most of us are in generating negative energy and producing a negative mindset!


Often so we are reacting to what happens to us, and usually we tend to react in a defensive or negative way. Human beings are the most emotional creatures alive and boy do we show that regularly, even to our loved ones. With our reactions to what happens to us from outside, we hurt others, more often than we think.

If we think about it, we react based on emotions, and emotions are created by ourselves. We created a pair that is specific to each and every event that happens to us. This pair, obviously consists of....2 parts :)

When an event happens to us, primarily our brain captures a snapshot of this event and stores it

' in the back of our mind' for future reference, at the same time, our brain connects the reaction or emotion we experience at the same moment, for future reference. Hence, this pair becomes your blue print for any similar event that happens to you in the future.

Knowing that we can't change the picture, as this would be extremely helpful to maintain in case we see this huge, poisonous snake approaching us and we know exactly what to do (RUN!), but if we know that we CAN control the emotion we connect to do this, we can make change happen, quicker than you think.

I will, however, talk about these emotions. Emotion is nothing more than energy in motion.

This means that we can guide the energy we create into a certain motion, which ultimately should be a positive motion towards a positive outcome.




Besides this part of energy, we also possess the energy we need to perform on the highest level possible, day in day out, no matter where you are in life. The energy you bring into any interaction of your life is immensely crucial. This determines directly how people perceive you as a leader, as a friend, or as s spouse or parent. The higher your levels of energy you posses in any interaction you have, the more likely you will have more meaningful relationships, better communication and more opportunities in general to become more successful.


Just go back and remember someone who you know, when this person enters the room and everybody turns their head? That person that you are so jealous of, like he or she possesses some strange super power? That is pure energy, this is what the people want to see in others, as most of don't know how to create this constant flow of energy that will last throughout the day!




For today, I have a few questions, that will set you up to get this energy generated, that will last for the entire day, but before we do that, we need to identify what your morning routine is.

As this is probably the most overlooked part of the day, yet the most powerful in how your day will go, we need to create a routine that is setting you up for success.


I can't tell you exactly what you need to do, as everybody needs to find that routine that suits them. Some successful people swear by starting their day at 5am, others start with a cold shower or ice bath (been there, done that.... that's not for me) or if you are like the majority of the people, you can't start your energy without having the caffeine first! Whatever it is that suits you, make sure it's positive and that it triggers your body to be in motion. For me it consists of prayer after I wake up, a good 30-minute walk or some body weight exercises and lots of water.

Now that we understand the power of creating lasting energy for the day, I will leave you with the following questions, take some real quality time to get through this as this is a major part of your success:


1. Now that I know I can generate my own energy, what energy do I want to put out in the world?;

2. When I feel a lack of energy, I will think about these 3 moments that gave me energy in the past...... AND use this anytime when I feel drained;

3. 3 things that drain my energy are......and replace these by more joyful things like.......;

4. My new morning routine will be...........
