Hi all,
This Dennis from change it coaching, and welcome back to my blog!
I wanted to start off with a big, huge thank you for your support over the past months, I am extremely grateful that you are a part of this journey that I started not long ago.
Without your help, support and kindness I can't possibly strive to achieve some of my biggest goals in life. One of them is the reason why I started my company, change it coaching, as I became fully clear on who I wanted to be in life. My objective, through my company, is to help as many individuals and smaller companies, to reach their full potential in any area of their life. I know from firsthand experience how tough life can be and that we all need to have that one helping hand to get us through it all. I hope over the next weeks, months and years I can be that helping hand for you.
In the next 5 days I want to challenge you and those around you, to start your journey in becoming the most successful person you can be, right now. And success has a different meaning to every individual, so I am not going to tell you how it looks like, but I will guide you through some processes to help you find the answers that you are looking for and identifying your definition of success.
Lets' start the: 5 day challenge to become successful in any area of your life
In the next 5 days we will cover the following chapters on our road to success:
1. Find clarity;
2. How to find your purpose and set relevant goals;
3. The power of Energy;
4. Influence your way to success;
5. Identifying your values and beliefs.
Before I go into the juice for today, I am heavily inspired by Brendon Burchard and the great Tony Robbins, so some of the steps that you find in our 5 day challenge, might sound familiar, if you follow these 2 giants as well. The pure reason for this is 2 fold:
1. Why would you re-invent the wheel;
2. These 2 greats have also mastered on of the NLP principles called modelling, to perfection.
The first and foremost question we have to ask ourselves every single day in order to become absolutely clear on who we want to be and what we want to achieve is:
Why am I put on this earth?
Don't you agree that we all have something special, a unique talent, or a specific reason why we are put on this world.
It can't be that God, or whoever you believe in (or not), created all 7.8 billion people on this earth equally?
Remember a gentlemen called Thomas Edison?
If he wouldn't be absolutely clear on what he wanted, we would not have any light till now (among many other great inventions)!
Thomas Edison was completely clear and obsessed when he was inventing the light bulb, he wanted to provide the entire world with a system so that they could see, even during the dark nights.
Obviously, having a dream as such is not really special for us nowadays, but the most important thing about this was his obsession and clarity to make sure that he took every single step necessary to achieve success. This also included many, many failures.
One of the days, while working with his partner on another invention that could be IT, Edison got both of them nearly killed!
Instead of creating a light bulb, he created a massive explosion in their laboratory and almost killed them. His partner, after all damage was cleared and they had checked that they are still alive, was completely in shock and shouted at him: "Are you out of your mind! you got us nearly killed!" to which he replied: " Absolutely not my dear friend, I just found 999 ways of how not to create a light bulb!" Classic!
If he wouldn't be absolutely clear on what he wanted to achieve, we might not have been using the light bulb as we know it.
Let me guide you through some of the steps of my program to help you kick start the challenge.

The 2 parts we will go through today are:
1. What questions do I need to ask myself in order to create absolute clarity for myself;
2. What is the vision for my life?
In part 1 you need to ask yourself the following:
- If I look at how I want to be remembered for the best person I can possibly be, day in, day out, what are the 3 words that describe you the best?
If I look at myself, the 3 words are: Love, Presence, Motivation. Whenever I review my day, just before I go into prayer, I am reflecting my day on these 3 words. Did I give the most of my love to my family that I possibly can give? Or for anyone else around me that needs it. Was I fully present in.... the present, means with every interaction I made today, was I there to wholeheartedly listen to the other person? And, did I bring the highest level of motivation to those around me? Naturally, not all days will be perfect 10's, but if you do this consistently, you are imprinting these values into your subconscious mind, and this is where the real change happens.
The 2nd question is:
- Which skills do I need to develop to become this person? Or maybe you would just need to enhance the skills that you already have to become that person.
The 2nd part of today's challenge is about how do you create your personal life vision.
To create a vision, you need to first identify the area of your life that you are not happy with. In my coaching sessions we use a specific tool for this, but for now, think about any area of your life that you are not happy with. With not happy I mean, if you would rate yourself on, for example, your health, and you have to rate your situation with a score between 1 and 10 (1 being absolutely dreadful and 10 you are on top of the world!), and your score is anywhere below a 7.... it's time to take action my friend!
Here's what you can do to find out what actions you need to take to find your vision for that particular area:
What does health mean to you specifically? How does that healthy body look like? What kind of foods do you eat during the day? How does your exercise schedule look like?
A great way that many successful people use to stay on top of their game, is that they create a battle board or vision board or whatever you want to call it.
On this board they post pictures of their ideal body, their dream house and dream car, how their ideal partner looks like and much more!
The clearer you can become on what, in this case, health means to you, the more focused you will be on achieving this. And as a great addition, you are conditioning your subconscious mind to look for all these things unconsciously. It doesn't cost you any energy, it just happens FOR you.
For your subconscious mind it's very simple:
"Whatever you look for, you shall find."
My challenge to you is this.
Over the next4 more days, I will share some more very useful tips.
The only way for you to really benefit from this, is to follow the exercises, or questions I throw at you to the dot.
Once you have taken some time to really dig deep inside yourself, implement what you have learned in your daily life, then I would love to see your feedback and results in our comments!
Want to take the challenge to the next level? Share it with all your friends, family, community or anyone that you know that wants to change their life, now!
My final request to you, as a return in favor for the immense value I am sharing with you, if you find these lessons valuable and you know someone else who can use some help, please go ahead and share this with you.
